I became involved in the cat fancy in 1968 gaining my licence as a All Shorthair judge in July 1986 and have been involved with breeding Siamese, Oriental, Balinese and Longhair Orientals over many years and also own a Burmese spay. I have judged throughout Queensland as well as appointments in South Australia, the A.C.T., New South Wales, and Tasmania. Always enjoying the challenge of judging cats that I have not judged before and the joy that is on the face of the exhibitor who owns the best in show
While still holding Executive positions in clubs I still enjoy all shows as you meet some wonderful people and you never stop learning from other judges and breeder's knowledge and experiences.

I have been around cats all of my life but since settling in Australia from New Zealand, I have had pedigreed cats. I bought my first Birman in 1983 and have bred under the Nicsha prefix since then. More recently in 2003 I imported our first Siberian cats into the country from the USA and am working hard to gain recognition and appreciation for this wonderful breed.  I am the current president of our Birman club in Queensland and have held this position for the past 13 years. I have held executive positions in the past Federated Cat Council of Qld Inc and more recently, I am the Treasurer in the Queensland Feline Association Inc, a position I have held for the last three years.I am also the current secretary to QFA Judges Association and editor of our councils newsletter.

I began breeding Persians in 1981, then met the British Shorthairs in 1983, fell in love and have bred only British Shorthairs since, under the prefix of 'Kaloofa'. Over the years, I have bred many COY and Supreme exhibits and in 2005, GC BW RW Kaloofa Waltzing Matilda won the National breed win for British Shorthairs in CFAUSA which was very exciting.
Kaloofa cats have also been Supreme and Best in Show in South Africa and New Zealand. I introduced the bicolour British to Australia, but now breed mainly blues with the occasional bicolour. I am owned heart and soul by British Shorthairs. In 2000 I became licensed to judge G3 & G4.
At various times, I have held the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer of cat clubs and am currently Secretary of Sophisticats Cat Club, which is affiliated with QFA.
I enjoy judging as it gives me the opportunity of handling many wonderful cats without having to own them.
I am committed to the health and welfare of cats and the promotion of the cat fancy as a hobby.

My love of cats started when I was 4 years old receiving my first Persian from my Aunty. My career in the cat fancy began in 1997 showing desexed Persians. I have won many best in shows, Desexed cat of the Year & Supreme Exhibits at National level. My husband Luke and I started our Persian breeding program in 2001 under the Shonstar Prefix. I completed the Group 4 judges course in 2002 and in May of 2007 extended my licence as a Group 1 Longhair open judge. I hold a lot of experience in grooming Persians, running cat shows and I have held many positions on council and at Club level, I recently resigned from these positions to have my first Child Ryan in January 2007. I would love to become a Persian Specialty judge with a vision of becoming an All Breeds Judge. I love all breeds of cats, but I hold a soft spot for Persians, Birmans & Burmese.

I was given my first Siamese in 1979 and from then on I have belonged to Group 2.  I went to my first cat show in 1987 and that was my entry into the feline world.  Under the "Vangold" prefix I have been breeding Siamese, Orientals, Balinese and recently have ventured into the longhair Orientals and foreign white longhairs.  I am proud to say that the "Vangolds" have done very well on the show bench with many BIS and a few Cat of the Years.  I was a member and president of Cooloola Gold for many years, a member of the Maryborough Cat Club and more recently I am an active member of the Balinese &  Siamese Cat Club.  I became a Group 2 judge with FCCQ in 2001 and then in 2005 became a Group 3 judge.
